so fired
9:26 AM PST - Mar. 08, 2004

another day of hearing about low morale.
i'd rather just write an order
to layoff all of our workers
who really don't add any value
to our overall department.
whose skills have eroded
like a snail's shell
in vinegar. these folks
ask the dumbest questions.
their work is often completed
by others. and their management
still gives them high marks
for doing their job when really
they don't do it at all.
i mean, if you are in an IT industry,
you shouldn't be waiting for the company
to teach you new skills.
by definition, you should be independently
acquiring these new skills.
ugh. fire the lot of them, i say.
yes, i know these folks have families
to support, etc. but that's not
a business' problem. we could easily
hire new college graduates to do
these people's work with half
the salary and two-thirds less
bullshit. ugh.
i know someday my own skills
will erode. i fully expect it.
they're probably eroding already.
but at the same time, i don't expect
anyone else to care about me
except me.

and right now, i'm seeing alot
of freeloading being done in my company.
if this were my business... ugh.
alot of folks would be so fired already.
so fired.

american business sure does hire alot
of dumbasses.
