went on vacation last week with my family. i needed the break. i needed the time to reset and just chill with my wife and son and it was so cool to know that we all actually enjoyed being together for that extended length of time. that we do like one another and can have fun. my son grew also last week mentally. monday he was speaking one word at a time. by tuesday he was trying to yammer out whole sentences. it was amazing. i probably cried at least twice a day because i saw that my little boy was growing up. and that i was around this time to see it. and my boy also has learned to be one to show affection. as i carried him around Orlando he would stop every so often and just hug me. i didn't prompt him. he just spontaneously did it. and he would rest his head on my shoulder and sing on his own. and pull at my ear. and mumble "i love you dada". and i think he even knew what he was saying.
