shout out to chris, liz, and the inscrutable lauren. i think we should create a monthly support group, if nothing else to convince lauren that California is by far a much warmer place than Chicago. yes, i love Chicago with all my heart, but better to spend one's dollars on actual wardrobe than big boots, thick coats, and snow tires... quick status: family: OK work: still sucks -- we spend our time bouncing between projects and going over stuff regarding hurricane frances me: OK
